StoneComms / Commissioned intelligence

What do you need to know?

Bespoke, commercially focused market research and intelligence for investors, businesses and institutions exploring opportunities across African markets, with particular interest in growth contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

A question worth answering

You bring the question. We investigate it.

A market opportunity, a planned investment or an expansion decision often depends on a question that existing research does not answer clearly. StoneComms investigates that question, bringing together evidence, context and analysis to help your organisation decide what to do next.

Where is the opportunity?

Identify overlooked markets, sectors, partnerships or demand patterns relevant to your commercial priorities.

What is holding us back?

Examine barriers to entry, adoption or conversion, including market conditions, institutions and local context.

What could change the decision?

Test assumptions against available evidence, policy, investment conditions and competing interpretations.

Our commissioned research model

One substantial research question each month.

Our retained model is built around one bespoke research assignment each month, with findings delivered through a written intelligence report and an executive briefing. We agree the question, scope, methodology and deliverables with each client. A defined initial assignment can help establish the value of a longer engagement.

Research is primarily desk-based: public data, policy documents, company disclosures, primary records, credible local sources and original enquiry are assembled, tested and interpreted. We distinguish evidence from analysis and make uncertainty visible. In-market research can be included where specifically scoped.

Our areas of interest

Commercial opportunity. Sustainable development.

We have particular interest in African growth opportunities contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals — including energy, infrastructure, industry, technology, investment, jobs and climate resilience. The commercial or strategic question leads the enquiry; SDG alignment is assessed on the evidence, not assumed.

Tell us the question behind your next investment, market or growth decision. We can discuss what the evidence might reveal and the research needed to find out.
